Charles M. “Max” Anderson, 85, of Hernando, MS, passed away July 9, 2016. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, his wife, Betty Jo Anderson, one sister, one brother, one grandson, one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law, and one daughter-in-law. He is survived by four sons: Mike Anderson, Chip Anderson (Donna), Marty Anderson (Dawn), and Mark Anderson, his sister, Judy Wesley (Louis), eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and his companion Martha Walden. Max gave his life to service in the United States Army and retired from the City of Memphis Fire Department as a Captain. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish, farm, and work in his garden. The family will receive friends Monday evening, July 11, 2016 from 5-7pm and the funeral service will be held Tuesday morning, July 12, 2016 at 10am, all at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
