CLYDE VERRELL SMITH, 93, passed away on August 26, 2015. There will be a gathering of friends on Saturday, August 29 beginning at 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, TN. Clyde was a member of the Methodist Church, graduated from Hickory Flat High School and retired after many years of service from Gordon Transport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Castilla Gadd Smith and Loyd Walker Smith, sister, Erlene Smith Childers and brother, P.E. “Boots” Smith. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Wheatley Smith; niece, Cindy Gearhart and nephew, Robert Loyd Childers.
