Connie "C.M" Mac Pate, 83, of Nesbit, MS passed away on June 1, 2024. Mr. Pate was born on July 1, 1940 in Thorsby, AL to the late Ralph and Frances Pate. He served our country for 12 years in the United States Navy where he received a lot of training on hydraulics. Following his Navy service, he started Pate Hydraulics in 1977. He received many achievements awards over the years from the companies that he contracted with including Coors Brewing and Cargill Inc. In 1991, Mr. Pate was baptized into the Catholic Church at St Paul in Memphis where he served as a Eucharistic minister and did landscaping for the church and rectory. In recent years, he and his wife have attended Christ the King Catholic Church in Southaven, MS. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Pate. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 49 years, Mary Schnell Pate; son, Jeff Pate (Krystal); daughter, Tracy Boyle (David); son, Christopher J. Pate (Alicia); daughter, Mary Frances Hampton (Shane); 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and brother, George Pate. Mr. Pate loved his family dearly especially his children and grandchildren. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Christ the King Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 10-11 am with a funeral mass to begin at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the mass in the parish hall. Mr. Pate will be buried at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 1:00 pm where military funeral honors will be rendered.
