Earnest L. Waisner, Jr., 74, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Earnie was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest L., Sr. and Magdaline Waisner. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon Heinrich Waisner; daughter, Aubrey Waisner; daughter, Amanda Waisner; son, Jeremy Waisner(Sara); and brother, Rodney Waisner(Annette). Earnie was born on January 27, 1948 in Thomasville, NC. He served our country for 23 years in the United States Army and retired as a SFC from the AR Army National Guard. After his military career he worked for many years as a truck driver and dispatcher. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and in his younger years he even raced a car. He was an avid NC Tar Heels fan and through marriage, adopted the Arkansas Razorbacks. He loved classic rock and old gospel music. He also collected guns and was a proud NRA member. Earnie was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member at Longview Heights Baptist Church where he served on the security team. He was a faithful son, husband, father, and friend. Earnie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm with a funeral service to begin at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery where military funeral honors will be rendered. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in his honor to the Longview Heights Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
