Elsie Mae Stanhouse, 87, of Byhalia, MS passed away on February 5, 2026. Mrs. Stanhouse was born on March 21, 1938, in Joiner, AR to the late Lloyd Campbell and Katherine Ford. In her younger years, she sold Avon products and became a homemaker in her later years. She was an animal lover, especially dogs and cats. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and was a member of First Pentecostal Church in New Albany. Her greatest joy in life was her son; she loved and doted on him. Along with her parents, Mrs. Stanhouse was preceded in death by her sister, Janice; and her brother, Lonnie. She is survived by her Husband of 65 years, Jimmy Stanhouse; son, Doyle Stanhouse; granddaughters, Jessica Chenault (Marc) and Kim Pitcher (Bryan); and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Chenault and Aiden Pierce.
