Gladys Marie Greer

Gladys Marie Greer, 84, of Byhalia, MS passed away on December 8, 2025. Ms. Greer was born on March 14, 1941, in Vardaman, MS. She worked for many years as a medical tech. most of her career was spent on the allergy clinic at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. In her free time, she loved spending time with and cooking for her family. One of the greatest joys of her life was being “Granny” to her grandchildren. She was also a huge fan of the Ole Miss Rebels. Ms. Greer was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Greer; son, Merlin Victoriano; father, Dewitt Turner; mother, Zula Mae Smith Turner; and three sisters: Maggie Swindle, Johnnie Turner, and Faye Woods. She is survived by her son, Michael Martin; son, Nate Martin (Katrina); grandchildren: Rachel, Sarah, William, Chase, Michael, Jr., and Bailey; great-grandchildren: Seth, Sophia, and Owen; sisters: Joanne Wallace, Debbie Owens, and Billie Adams; and one brother, Herman Dee “Buddy” Turner. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10-11 am with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Southwoods.
