James Earl Knipple, of Senatobia MS, passed away on 23 June 2025 at the age of 92. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant after twenty years’ service and the City of Millington, TN after twenty-six years as the City Financial Director. He was a member of the Senatobia Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 62 years, Joyce Knipple; his son, Timothy; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Knipple; four brothers, Edward, Sydney, Kenneth, and Harold.
James is survived by his wife of 10 years, Mamie Ernestine Knipple; his son, Brian Knipple of Chesapeake, VA; four grandchildren: Matthew, Tamra, Christopher, and Devon and six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will follow at Thyatira Cemetery. The family requests donations to the American Diabetes Society in lieu of flowers.
