James worked for Metropolitan Airport Commission in Minneapolis, MN as an engineer for many years. He belongs to Emmanuel Tabernacle in MN.
James enjoyed being around family and friends. James loved to travel and one of his favorite places to travel was New Orleans. James was able to visit so many places in his lifetime. His favorite pastime was sitting in his garage and listening to the blues.
James leaves to cherish his loving wife Gloria Riley of 35 years, (Olive Branch, MS). He leaves to cherish 6 children: Michael Riley (Pat), Sabrina Riley, Lehman Riley (Tracy), and Jamie all from Minnesota and, Jamal Riley (Sabrina) Virginia and Tonya Riley of MS. James also had a blend family. In this blended family was Marcus Graham and Gregory Lewis of (MN) and Carmen Lewis (TX). James also leave to cherish one sister Sara Boyd of (MN). He has 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. James leaves to cherish a host of families and friends that will truly miss his kind heart and loving spirit.
He was preceded in death by his father Bennie Riley and mother Equilla Woods Riley, a son LeBron Riley, and sister, Martha.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm.
