Jerry Mitchell Bennett

Jerry Mitchell Bennett, 83, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on June 4, 2025. Jerry was born on October 5, 1941, in Ripley, MS. He worked for International Harvester for 25 years. After International Harvester, he worked for the Commercial Appeal for 15 years. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the NASCAR races and watching the Ole Miss Rebels play. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling with his wife, and playing golf. Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Patti Sparrow; father, Edward Bennett; mother, Bobbie Bennett; and brother, Ronnie Bennett. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda Bennett; daughter, Lisa Pierson (Roy); grandchildren: Morgan Sparrow, Justin Pierson (Hannah), Wesley Pierson, Colton Sparrow (Harley), and Taylor Pierson (Gary); and great-grandchildren: Logan Sparrow, Wade Frazier, Rory Sparrow, and Austen Pierson. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 9:00-10:00 am with a funeral service to begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Southwoods.
