Kenneth Dewayne Gay, Sr., 84, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2024. Kenneth was born on March 26, 1940 in Poughkeepsie, AR to the late Preston and Lora Gay. He graduated from Leachville High School in 1958. After high school, he joined the United States Navy where he served our country for 10 years as Crew Chief in Maintenance. After his Navy service, he went to work for Baniff Airlines as an aircraft mechanic. He then worked for Northwest Airlines from where he retired. Kenneth was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV and riding jet skis. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys play. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife who passed away in 1995, Claranell Gay; daughter, Becky Ann Gay; and brother, Darrell Gay. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Gay; daughter, Thresa Adair; son, Kenneth Gay II (Meghan); his children he inherited by marriage: Mike Johnson (Angie), Kathy Mills (Richard), and Ken Johnson (Denise); 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roy Gay (Melinda). The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at First Baptist Church of Olive Branch on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 10-11 am with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 am.
