Kenneth Whitfield Shifflett

Kenneth Whitfield Shifflett, 90, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 6, 2021. Mr. Shifflett was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Virginia Shifflett; brother, W.H. Shifflett; and sister, Ruby Lawson. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Berlie Shifflett; son, Kenneth Shifflett(Cheryl); son, Larry Dale Shifflett(Donna); daughter, Deborah Marxsen(Todd); grandchildren: Jason, Leslie, Shelby, Tommy, Katie, Todd William, and Dawn; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Faye Cubbage. Mr. Shifflett retired from Western Union after 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch, MS. He was a loving husband who provided for his family. He was a great father who loved his children very much. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 9:30-11 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Southwoods. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
