Kimberly Gaye Baker, 56, of Byhalia, MS went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2024. Kim was born on April 15, 1968 in Memphis, TN. She is a 1986 graduate of Briarcrest Christian School. She worked in warehouse management most of her working years. In her free time, she enjoyed working in her flower gardens, going to the lake or beach, going to the mountains, sitting in the deer stand, and spending time with family, friends, and her dogs. She also enjoyed supporting her boys in all of their school and sporting events. She was always the loudest fan in any stands. Kim never met a stranger and had a heart for people. She was always willing to help anyone in need. She was also a straight shooter and anyone who knew her, knew she would always speak her mind. Kim was also very patriotic and loved her country. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gaye W. Morris; father, James H. Morris, Jr.; and her grandparents, Lynn and Dorothy White and James and Virginia Morris. Kim is survived by her husband of 31 years, James S. Baker; son, Austin C. Baker; son, Shelton C. Baker (Kaitlyn); grandsons, Archer B. Baker and Collin J. Baker; sister, Carolyn M. Gray; sister, Patti M. Lewis (Dave); sister, Melissa M. Ruschmeyer (Jeri-Rose); brother-in-law, Mark Baker (Leigh); mother and father-in-law, Patricia M. Baker and William B. Baker; and her nieces and nephews: Todd Gray (Ashley), Savannah Gray, Cayla Wilson (Luke), Tanner White, Brooke White, Nicki Cates (Daniel), Robby Deglow (Melanie), David Lewis (Emily), Katelyn Lewis, Courtney Kupiszewski (Mitchell), Anna Lewis, and Taylor Elaine Baker. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024, also at Brantley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Autumn Woods Memorial Park.
