Larry James Peters

Larry James Peters, 67, of Byhalia, MS went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Mr. Peters was preceded in death by his father, Olin Peters; and mother, Lois Ballard Crain. He is survived by his wife, Patti Peters; son, Larry James Peters II (Alyssa); step-children: Sondra Davis, Margaret Shelton (Hunter), Christin Hurst (Charles Theriault), Samantha Parker (Tommy), Kimberly Matthews (Teddy), and Johnathan Walker; grandson, Larry James Peters III; step-grandchildren: Kira, Christopher, Thomas, Taylor, Simon, Ben, Harry, Kennedy, Emily, Mary, Christian, Noah, and Josie; one step-great-grandchild, Francesca; adopted siblings, Frank Peters, Doyle Peters and Debbie Brown; niece, Ashley de Lassus (Matt) and family; and many cousins and extended family. Mr. Peters served our country in the United States Army and was proud to be a veteran. He was a Staff Sgt. in the Army Security Agency where he served as a Crypto Interceptor Analyst and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He also liked to watch Wheel of Fortune every evening. Mr. Peters was saved as a teenager and had a personal relationship with the Lord. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 9-10 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 am. Interment with military honors will be at West TN Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
