Lloyd Edward Govener was born December 13, 1943. He received the gift of a new heart on January 14, 2013, and after many complications and long hospitalizations, walked into the arms of Jesus September 3, 2013. Lloyd was a second generation GM Dealer in Wolcott, NY from 1964 until the Dealership was sold in 2002. Upon his retirement, he and his wife, Lynn, moved to Olive Branch, Mississippi to be closer to all their family. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Jessica Lynn (Hatcher) Govener and their three children. ..Pamela (David) Greganti; David (Molly) Govener; Michael (Sara) Govener. Lloyd adored his five grandchildren…Jonathan, Joshua, and Julianna Greganti and Jackson and Brooklyn Govener… He is also survived by two sisters…Pauline (William) Fleig and Barbara Arthur. Lloyd had the God-Given gift of encouragement and used it to minister to everyone he came in contact with. He was also known for his twinkling blue eyes and his wonderful laugh. He will be missed on this earth, but we know he is where he wanted to be, with his Lord and Savior, and is rejoicing and free of pain and suffering. As a close friend said: “He’s probably been assigned to be a greeter at the Heavenly Gates.” A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, at Longview Heights Baptist Church, 4501 Goodman Road in Olive Branch.
