Mary Elizabeth Hanna, 86, passed away September 28, 2021. She was a member of Gracewood Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for more than 40 years, organized Bible drills and was a tremendous supporter of mission work. One of her favorites to support was, Pennies for Pure Water/ Pure Love, which helps to provide clean water to communities where missions are being conducted. One of her favorite pastimes was watching Atlanta Braves baseball. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Forest Wayne Hanna; sons, Forest Michael Hanna and Dennis Wayne Hanna; parents, Paul and Flossie Key Berryhill; sister, Pauline Huffman; and three brothers, Rayford Berryhill, Aubrey Berryhill and James Berryhill.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Price and Susan Johnson (Brett); nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and two- great-great- grandchildren, and a brother, Howard Berryhill (Sherry).
The family will receive friends on Monday October 4, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum Street, Olive Branch, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Brantley Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Lebanon Cemetery.
There will be a jar for your pennies to help support Mrs. Hanna’s favorite Mission work at services.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mrs. Hanna may be offered to Gracewood Baptist Church Mission fund.
