Mary Ann Luevano

Mary Ann (Garza) Luevano, Southaven, MS, 81 years old residing in Southaven Mississippi fell asleep in death Saturday July 9, 2016 surrounded by her family. Mary Ann was born on May 28, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. Then later married on May 28, 1955 to James (Jimmy ) Luevano. They shared 55 years of marriage and resided in Houston Texas where they raised their family.Mary Ann was truly a loving, giving person. She was happiest when she was taking care of others. She cared for her parents when they became ill, then her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.She loved her coffee! Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jimmy) Luevano, a brother George Garza and three sisters: Josephine Morales , Florence Puzio and Celia Jimenez.She is survived by a brother Bob Garza and a sister Anna Mae Rosamond , two sister in laws, Catherine Garza and Eva Marez. Mary Ann also leaves behind her daughter Anna Maria (Randy) Turner, her son Daniel (Rona) Luevano and her daughter Melody Harris. She also leaves behind the joy of her life, five grandchildren, Alana Knight , Hunter Harris, Steven, Jimmy and Victoria Luevano, three great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Liam and Colt Knight and many, many nieces and nephews that loved her very much. Mary Ann was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 54 years and had a strong faith in an earthly resurrection.
