Mary E. Nelson, 98, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2022. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Otis Nelson; great-grandson, Kai Lundstrom; and brothers: Walter Thomas, David Thomas, and Eugene Thomas. She is survived by her son, Terry Nelson(Anne); grandchildren, Lori Reeves and Tracy Nelson; great-grandchildren, Corbin Reeves and Chris Meredith; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nelson was fun-loving and had a zest for life. She was always “young at heart” and ready to make someone laugh. Sometimes, she would even make herself laugh. She loved animals, especially dogs and cats and had one if not multiple most of her life. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Mrs. Nelson was a believer in Jesus Christ and a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Byhalia. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022, also at Brantley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Blocker Cemetery.
