She was an independent only child of Elsie Elvira Thelin and David Wesley Trebass, born 9/28/1924, in Oak Park, IL, and proud to live early years upstairs a fire station. An Oak Park-River Forest High grad, Muriel briefly attended Northern IL Univ., fell in love with a bank co-worker, and married Eddy in 1952. Their 3 children, Judy, Joan, and Randy were raised in Hillside and LaGrange, IL. Muriel was passionate about weather & travel, delighted to see all 50 states, and loved National Parks. She adored ice skating & tennis, knew about Olympic events, and exactly how many miles it was to anywhere! She was endlessly devoted to family. Muriel moved often and later ended up in AR and MS near Judy, and then Randy. Muriel is survived by daughter, Joan Valerie Hora Kuehn (Scott), MT, and son, Randall David Hora (Kerry), MS; nephew Thomas Marek, IL; grandchildren: Dax (Jennifer) Kuehn, MT, Nathaniel (Rocio) Havlik, TN, Tyner (Julie) Kuehn, PA, Daniel (Jenna) Havlik, AR, Rye (Ryan) Cech, MT, Brandon and Meagan Hora, MS; great-grands: Summit & Atlas Cech, Harper Havlik, & Porter Kuehn. Preceded in death by husband, Edward N. Hora, 1972, and daughter Judith Lynn Havlik, 2007, Muriel chose to have no services since most peers had passed. She held life-long connections with kindergarten friends, family in Illinois, and travel-mates/past neighbors. Memorials are suggested to Cancer research/support.
