Olga Maria Morales White (Mimi), 87, of Nesbit, Mississippi passed away on September 2nd, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Olga was born in Ocotal, Nicaragua on August 25th, 1938. Olga was a longtime resident of Pearl, MS before moving to DeSoto County. She cherished her work as a nursery care technician at University Medical Center NICU in Jackson, Mississippi. A member of Christ the King Catholic Church, her faith and her church family were very important to her.
Remaining to cherish Olga’s memory are her daughter, Patricia [Jeffery] Geraci; her grandchildren, Andrew Geraci, Steven [Mallorie] Geraci, Peter [Annese] Geraci, and Dominic [Madelyn] Geraci, her great-grandchildren, Giovanni, Jude, and Ezra. Preceding Olga in death are her beloved husband, Andrew Jack White, her parents, Miguel and Rafaela Morales, and her brother, Robert Morales.
Olga had a spitfire, feisty demeanor and was known to love a good party. She could often be found out and about on the hunt for a good mariachi band to listen to or in front of her TV watching a telenovela in the wee hours of the morning. She was fondly referred to as “Mimi” by her grandchildren, and seeing how she never met a stranger, that person would soon be classified as her grandchild, too.
Olga lived by her own set of rules, like requesting “Feliz Navidad” be played in June. In these simple ways she shook things up, her family hopes to continue to honor her by continuing a legacy of loving life and cherishing those they meet along the way. As the lyrics to her favorite song read “Y volver volver, volver a tus brazos otra vez. Llegare hasta donde estés”. Wherever you are, we will come back to your arms again.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pinnacle Assisted Living, Landmark DeSoto-Horn Lake, Baptist DeSoto Southaven, and Shepherd Hospice House for the care that was provided to her.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church with a mass to follow at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 9th. Burial services will take place in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee or Christ the King Catholic Church in Southaven.
