

Polly Ruth Cole, 93, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2026. Polly was born on August 5, 1932, in Searcy, AR to the late John Wesley and Cleavie Geneva Parrish. She worked in bookkeeping most of her life and was proud of her work with: S.C. Toof Printing Co., Coca-Cola, George T. Nickey & Associates, and Meucci Originals. Her work as a bookkeeper and hostess for Brantley Funeral Home is one of the things she is most known for in the Olive Branch community. She and her husband moved to Maywood in 1957 and she served on the HOA board for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her friends. Polly was a believer in Jesus Christ and a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Her greatest joys in life were being a mother to her daughter and “Grandma” to her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Cole; and her siblings: Jim Parrish (Christine), Earl Parrish (Mary), Otha Parrish (Ruth), Lois Parrish Manning (Tom), Izora Parrish, Greet Parrish Thompson (Charlie), Frances Parrish Swilley (Woodrow), J.W. Parrish (Margaret), and Gene Parrish. She is survived by her daughter, Anita Wallace (Joe Harrill); grandchildren, Cole Wallace (Brennan) and Collyer Wallace; and her sister-in-law, Sadie Parrish.
