Shirley Robert Barnes, 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 14, 2014. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Polly Barnes. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Barnes; daughter-in-law, Alisha Barnes; grandchildren, Brandy Hughes, Lauren Barnes, Colton Barnes and great-grandson, Landon Hughes; two sisters and one brother. Family and friends will gather Wednesday, June 18 beginning at 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m., all at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS.
