Mr. James Roland Perkins, 65, passed away on Monday morning. He died in his home on his farm in Byhalia. Mr. Perkins was born to the late Robbie Allen and Sallie Florence Perkins on July 24, 1948, and leaves his wife of 29 years, Christy Perkins. His five children, Angela Finger, Julie Scobey, Amy Moraski, David Countryman, and Susan Walker survive him. He is also survived by nine beautiful grandchildren as well as eight great-grandchildren and four sisters, Shirley Moseley, Jean Bostick, Betty Summers, and Retha Jackson. He loved sharing the family farm with his dearly beloved grandson, Bryan Allen Perkins. A viewing will be held at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS on Thursday from 12-2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m., and burial immediately following at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Independence, MS.
