Sarah Marie Jackson, 98, of Byhalia, MS, passed away June 9, 2012, at Dove Health and Rehabilitation in Collierville, TN. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, and funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., all at Barton First Baptist Church in Barton, MS. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Marie devoted her life to her family and serving her God. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother, and she leaves a legacy of love that will never die. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Roy Jackson. She is survived by her 7 children, Melodene Banks, Norma Thomason, Larry Jackson, Sammy Jackson, Joyce Blackwell, Annette Turner, and Jerry Jackson; 21 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
