Shelia Ann Thomas, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at St. Francis Bartlett. She was born on December 26, 1960 to M.H. and Martha Degraw in Memphis TN. Shelia's vibrant spirit and boundless love touched the lives of all who knew her.
Shelia found immense joy in nurturing her garden, where she delighted in the beauty of nature and the company of birds, especially her beloved hummingbirds. Her compassionate heart extended beyond her garden as she lovingly cared for and fed the animals of the neighborhood, embodying kindness and generosity.
Those fortunate enough to know Shelia will fondly remember her infectious laughter and playful spirit. She had a knack for brightening any room with her jokes and teasing, always spreading warmth and joy wherever she went.
Shelia's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Though she may no longer be with us, her memory will continue to bloom like the flowers she cherished in her garden. May her spirit soar with the hummingbirds she adored, bringing light and laughter to the heavens above.
She was preceded in death by her soul mate, Charles Lee Morgan; her father, M.H. DeGraw; brother, Mitchell Ray DeGraw; sister, Brenda Jefferies , and step-daughter, Trinity Morgan.
Shelia leaves behind her mother, Martha DeGraw; step-children, Hope Strickland (Rick), and Blake Morgan; her sister, Shelby DeGraw, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will follow at Byhalia Cemetery in Byhalia, MS.
