

Thaddeus Everett Hammett, 80, of Olive Branch, MS died Dec. 3, 2010. He formerly lived in East Ridge, TN for 44 years and retired from C.F. Industries, Chattanooga, and also worked at Alexian Village, Signal Mountain. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army.
He enjoyed wood carving and being a Ham Radio Operator, KE4HF. He was a member of Longview Heights Baptist Church, Olive Branch and formerly a member of the Brainerd Hills Baptist Church, Chattanooga.
His parents were T. K. and Ruby Hammett of Port Gibson, MS. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Faye Hammett, a son, Mark E. Hammett, Olive Branch, MS., a daughter and son-in-law, Leanne and Shéa Bennett and three grandchildren, Joshua, Samuel, and Alyssa Bennett all of St. Leonards-on-Sea, England, a sister, Mrs. Rosemarie Price of Port Gibson, MS. and a brother, Wade G. Hammett, of Pearl, MS.
Family Visitation is Wednesday, December 8, 5:00 – 8:00 PM, with the Funeral on Thursday, December 9, at 1:00 PM, at the Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch, MS. Interment at 2:00 PM (CT) West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Germantown, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund of Longview Heights Baptist Church, 4501 Goodman Rd., Olive Branch, MS 38654.
