
Denver was born in Athabasca, Alberta where he lived until he 'rode the rails' out to the coast in search of a better life. He lived in Vancouver and Prince Rupert and then West Langley where he worked as a commercial fisherman and helped raise his family. He retired, with the love of his life, Iris, in Oliver, where they remained for thirty two years before returning to Langley. While in Oliver, he became an avid golfer and curler and also became an inventor, earning himself two patents.
Denver is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Iris and three children, Carol (Joe), David (Sharon) and Bob (Pamela), six grandchildren, Paul (Bronia), Andrew (Jennifer), Suzanne (Jeff), Ryan, Peter(Amanda) and Eric (Janine), six great-grandchildren, a brother Ritchie (Lupita) and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
A funeral service for Denver will be held in the Chapel of Graham Funeral Home, 5920 Kootenay Street on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:00 o’clock. Interment Oliver Cemetery. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow at the Elks Hall.
