Jack Ramsey

Jack Ramsey (1922 ~ 2014) - Jack, formerly from Oliver, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in Kelowna. Lovingly remembered by children, Tom Ramsey of Sicamous and Linda Dower (Bill Campbell) of Kelowna; grandchildren, Matthew Dower (Kerri Wladyka) of Calgary and Alanna (Steven) Goodman of Victoria; great-grandchild, Avery Goodman; Survived by sister, Sydney Chapman and numerous nieces and nephews together with Lyle (Martina) Ramsey, Dennis (Susan) Ramsey and Randy (Nancy) Chapman; special friend, Ivy George. Predeceased by his wife, Fern (2006) and daughter Karen Meskas (2013), brother Tom and sister Jennie. Jack worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Port Coquitlam. He was a Veteran of World War II and served with the Elgin Regiment Tank Corps. Jack enjoyed gardening, model railroads and restoring old vehicles. A service of Remembrance will be held in the spring of 2015. As an expression of sympathy, donations to charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
