Alda is preceded in death by her parents David Egon Carlson and Dorothy Edith Carlson (Rasmussen), and sisters Adla Nelson and Alice Carlson.
Alda married Richard Knapp. They had 4 children and divorced. She later married George Zaracki.
Alda is survived by sister Dorothy (Gene) Rollins, brother David (Sharon) Carlson, children Nina (Joe) Stewart, Rich (Jean) Knapp, Patty (Ray) Ketelsen, Julia Belt, grandchildren Jamie Mohr, Jay Stewart, Jonna Branz, Richelle Alff, Kim Jespersen, Tim Ketelsen, Brad Ketelsen, Greg Ketelsen, Will Belt, Connie Smith, Hilton Smith, Courtney Smith, Shane Smith, 32 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Alda enjoyed nature. She was particularly fond of her many pets. Her love of animals extended to the wildlife that lived around her spending lots of time feeding and watching the birds, squirrels and deer. She loved to go camping and fishing. Alda also enjoyed spending time with family, especially visits from the newest additions. Alda was always reading or watching "country westerns" and was exceptionally talented with needlework crafts.
