Herb will truly be missed.  He was a great supporter of our Credit Organization for many years.  Herb shared his knowledge to anyone in the credit profession and also promoted learning.  I also had an opportunity over the years to share a few great bottles of wine with Herb.  He loved his wine and had a wealth of knowledge about it.  
Once in awhile Herb would drive me nuts with his endless questions but that is what I admired the most.  I consider him one of my mentors in my career.   My sympathy to Carole and family. 

I met Herb through work.  He was extremely knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge and experience to help others.   He had a lasting impact on Credit Management and everyone that he came in contact with including myself.  His commitment to education and helping others will last a lifetime.  I am honored to be able to say I knew Herb Dewey.

I worked for Herb just before his retirement.  I will always consider him my mentor and friend.  Even after his retirement, we continued to have lunch on a regular basis at one of Herb's favorite burger joints.  Herb was involved in several professional organizations and used his time to assist others in pursuing careers in Credit Management.  I would not be where I am today without Herb.  I will miss our lunches and conversations.  Thank you Herb for all you've done for me.

Herb was a unique person. Always positive and willing to share some of his extensive knowledge on a wide variety of topics. I remember his wine dinners, with amazing food, great wine, and wonderful desserts. There were not enough hours in those evenings. RIP Herb!!! You are greatly missed!!

I got to know Herb through a local credit professional organization.  Herb was very giving of his time and knowledge.  He helped several of us come up through the ranks during our credit careers.  Herb was always more than happy to assist anyone that asked.  Continued education was a cornerstone of Herb’s priorities.  I am grateful for his wisdom.  My deepest condolences the family.  


I can remember countless times we would come over and count his many coin dollars and half dollars. Look for the bunny on the playboy mags and have a good time everytime being there. He will be missed greatly. I feel so fortunate to have seen him this past summer. Always was a positive voice for me. Rest in peace uncle. Say hi to dad for me!

Much of what we've learned about wine we learned from Herb. He was a true gentleman. He was also one of those people who never took anyone's opinion and dashed it. He was respectful and kind.
