I always said my brother Dennis was the smartest and most talented one In our  family.  Some of my best childhood memories are of him teaching me to play chess, and sharing his love of photography, books and music.  But, like many, he faced the types of struggles in life that sometimes keep us from reaching our full potential.  Nevertheless, he tried as best he could which is all any of us can do. One of the most important things he taught me was to think....really think....and a good conversation with him always left my head spinning with plenty to think about!  To say he was unique would be putting it mildly. Over the years, we had some differences as most siblings do.  But the bottom line was, under all the frustration, the Love was there. I’m choosing to keep all my memories of happier times with my brother close in my heart. I’ll be forever grateful that over the last number of years we always ended our phone calls with “Love You” and “Love You Too.”

I’d like to thank all the family and friends who reached out with thoughts and prayers and everyone who took the time to come to Dennis’ services.  It meant the world. I can only hope he now fully understands just how much he is loved.

I worked with Denny at the "phone company,"  90th and Western.  He was one of the most intelligent people I have ever know.   I loved talking with him (most of the time, not  about politics :-)  
He loved his kids, and was so proud of them.  He often told me  the older boys were very smart and successful.  He was amazed at their accomplishments.  The younger girl and boy were subjects of our  daily discussions:  what they were learning,  cute things they said,  how insightful they were.   Denny showed me pictures of his four children all the time.  

He also taught me a lot about people and faith.  Some of the conversations  Denny and I had have stuck with me through the years.  He told me that it is a mistake to think you are never going to need help, so never  look down on those that are in  need.  He said, all these people who think their 401K can protect them from hard times are crazy.  
He would tell me  the history of the Catholic church, the good and the bad.   We were talking about our belief in God, and how at times there seems to be so many bad things in the world it makes you wonder, is there really a  God?  I told him it makes me feel bad and guilty to feel that way and that it surely makes God mad.  Denny looked me straight in the face and said, " I think God understands us and don't worry, sometimes just wanting to believe in Him is good enough. "   That has gotten me through some hard times and I will always be grateful for having known Denny, and especially for his friendship.  


Dennis and I didn’t Tame the Wild West or change the World by any means but for over 40 years we were Friends. Dennis and I shared a Passion for the Blues and attended many Blues shows together. I well always think of him as a Brother. Dennis well forever have a Place in my Heart. I well miss him but never forget him he was one of a kind. RIP My Brother and I’ll catch you on the Flip side. 🙏☮️🎸🎶🎶
