Omaha. Eugene (Gene) Collins died suddenly at home at the age of 80. Born in LaCrosse, WI to William and Hazel Collins. Gene was raised in Onalaska and attended Luther College. He spent his accounting career at Amoco in Chicago and Omaha. Survived by loving wife Doris and five children, Barb Short (Mike), Keith Collins (Becky), Bev Branchaud (Jay), Karen Kaul (Joe), Brian Collins (Linda), and 11 grandchildren: Andy (Cate), Dan (Laurel), Jeff (Leslie), Scott, Joshua, Stephanie, Emma, Sarah, Amelia, Mason and Afton. Gene enjoyed a long retirement filled with travel, golf, baseball, reading and loving his family. FUNERAL SERVICE Wednesday 10am, June 2, at Lutheran Church of the Master: 2617 S. 114th St. Memorials preferred to Lutheran Church of the Master Foundation in Omaha.
