Survived by his brother Richard Frederick; Children – Ed (Debbie) Frederick, Betty (Rich) Fiddelke, Joan Hill, Cathy (Al) Morris; Grandchildren – Tyler (Lindsey) Frederick, Jon (Heather) Fiddelke, Sarah Lieske, Beth Fiddelke, Matt Hill (Shayna), Joe (Laura) Morris, Ben (Marlena) Morris; Great Grandchildren – Jacob, Zoe, Samuel, Katherine, Luke, Camden, Meredith, Anthony, Hunter, Kaylyn, Raygen, and Samantha.
Harold was born in Portsmouth, Iowa to Frank and Kathryn Frederick. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. After serving in the Navy, Harold moved to Omaha where he met his wife Betty. Harold and Betty were married on July 26, 1947 and celebrated 54 years together. Harold retired in 1984 from Northwestern Bell/US West Communications with 38 years of service.
After retiring, Harold began volunteering for the University Nebraska Medical Center with his wife Betty. His dedication and commitment to volunteering for over 25 years earned him an Honorary Lifetime Volunteer Award on April 19, 2012.
