Preceded in death by his wife Rose, parents, grandsons; Matthew Holst and Jack Vargas, Eleven siblings, Manuel Vargas, Rueben Perez, Richard Perez, David Angel Perez, Mary Perez, Rose Perez, Esther Perez Zanderholm, Benita Del Toro, Tomasita Reyes and Marina Perez Navarrette.

Survived by children, Virginia (Ron) Holthaus, Henry (Mary Beth) Vargas, Rosanna (Matt) Holst; grandchildren, Nathan Garcia (Mary), Steven Garcia (Rick), Jose Vargas (Dawn), Shawn Vargas; 5 great-grandchildren. Siblings, Cruz (Hermina) Vargas of Wichita, KS, Ray (Darlene) Vargas of Topeka Ks. Juanita (Manuel) Cuellar of Rosco, TX.
