Preceded in death by brother, Dylan Mentzer. Survived by girlfriend of 5 years, Jessica Therkildsen; children, Emma Therkildsen, Ayden Gardner, Kaydance Gardner, and Skilyr Gardner; parents, April and Travis Mentzer; siblings, Jade Gardner, TJ Darnell, Dustin Darnell, and Cody Darnell; and many other loving extended family and friends.
A visitation for JR will be held Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
