Lenay was a bright young lady who graduated from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA with her bachelors in Criminal Justice. She started working for Frontline Security where she met a lot of her Omaha Police Department officer friends. She quit there and went to work for Nebraska State Patrol as a 911 Dispatcher where she continued to grow her friends with fellow dispatchers, NDOT, and the state patrol. She worked for the NDOT for a while until she started working at Union Pacific Railroad as a Critical Care Dispatcher, she worked there for a little over a year and she was then promoted to the next step which she loved. At Union Pacific she again developed her group of friends at work and field individuals. She also worked for as an intern for the Omaha Lancer Hockey organization for many years. She really enjoyed helping out with opening night events. She again has increased her circle of friends, as some of her friends have said even if she was scare of things, it never stopped her from trying new things. When she walked into rooms, she brightens them up, she had hugs that just would not stop. She loved her family and friends and she really loved her nephew Asher James, she missed him a lot and would have done anything she could of for him. I know she will be watching over him and protecting him as much as she possibly can.
She loved traveling with her friends to Disneyland, Okoboji, Minnesota, Kearney, Fargo and many other Lancer away hockey games with her friends. She also enjoyed her last trip to Mexico with her Lancer friends she could not stop talking about it and showing pictures. She always had a smile on her face and would do anything for anyone. She had a big heart and when she gave it to someone you knew it. Lenay will be missed more than anyone will ever know, she has been taken away way to soon, but I do know she will be watching over everyone and spending time with her Grandparents, Uncle Dennis and her puppies.
We love you Lenay and miss you very much.
