Linda Moss, a devoted “daughter of faith”, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, January 16th at the age of 82 with loved ones by her side. She left behind a legacy rooted in faith, family, and the quiet beauty of nature.
A Life in Bloom
Linda found her greatest joy in the simple wonders of the world around her. An avid gardener (home grown tomatoes will never be the same), she spent countless hours tending to her flowers and vegetable garden, finding a spiritual connection in the soil, birds building their nests, and the changing of seasons. Her love for nature was a reflection of her inner life-vibrant, nurturing, and constantly growing.
Linda's commitment to her faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a dedicated Bible Study Fellowship Group Leader, Stephen Ministries caregiver, Prison Ministry Team Member, she shared her wisdom and passion for the Word, guiding many on their own spiritual journeys. She believed in the power of prayer and spent much of her day praying for her family, friends, country, and those that she served.
Linda was always shining the light of Jesus through her bright smile, infectious laugh, encouraging words, and warm hugs. While she enjoyed cooking for others and loving on them through her amazing meals, more than anything, her heart's desire was for people to know the hope and peace she had through her savior, Jesus Christ.
Her family takes great comfort in knowing she has returned home to the Creator she served so faithfully.
Family
Linda was the beloved heart of her family. She is survived by her faithful husband, William “Bill” H. Moss. Her legacy continues through her three daughters and their families:
*Michele Briggs and her husband, Daniel.
*Brenda Boggs and her husband, Philip.
*Karyn Littrell and her husband, Billy.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to 8 wonderful grandchildren that she spoke fondly of. Linda is also survived by her brother, Michael “Mike” Harrill, and his wife, Brenda; her brother-in-law, John Hoden (Sharon); and several nieces and nephews.
Linda has been reunited in peace with those who preceded her in death: her father, James Delmar Harrill; her mother, Agnes Olive Harrill; and her sister, Sharon M. Hoden.
