Luther Rogers

Luther confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Greater New Hope Baptist Church where he served until his passing. He was drafted into the Army and served from 1971 to 1974.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Rogers; and son, Camaron Rogers.

He departed from his earthly home on February 22, 2023 at the age of 73. Those left to mourn his passing include his mother, Mary E. Rogers; his 4 daughters, Latisha I. Rogers, Meca Rogers, Maria (Andre) Lewis, and LaJewel Humphrey; his 1 son, Luther Darnell Humphrey; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Keith Wayne Rogers of Colton, CA; 1 sister, Carol Jeanne Rogers of Omaha, NE; 2 aunts, Ada E. Shepherd of Washington DC, and Rodean Shepherd of Maryland; 2 special sisters, Paula Patman, and Natia Hutt; and a host of cousins, family, and friends.

A visitation for Luther will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1411 N 30th St, Omaha, Nebraska 68131. A homegoing service will occur Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 1411 N 30th St, Omaha, Nebraska 68131. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, Nebraska 68138.
