Mary Ann Hopkins was born to parents Joseph (Mary Nocar) Rychly in Omaha Nebraska on April 27,1939. She lived in Omaha for a short time after getting married to Merrill Hopkins. They moved to LaVista. She continued to live there, after his passing, until her passing on January 15,2026.
She was preceded in death by husband Merrill Hopkins. Parents Joseph (Mary Nocar) Rychly. Brothers Joseph (Sandy) Rychly, Raymond Rychly, Richard Rychly, Robert (Carol) Rychly and Donald Rychly. Sister Betty (Floyd) Baker. Brother-in-law Anthony Orlando.
She was survived by daughters Tammy Hopkins, Robin Hopkins and Son Roy Hopkins. Sister Rose Orlando, and brother James (Linda) Rychly. Many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska, 68106. The service is scheduled for January 23, 2026, starting at 11:00 am, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, also located at 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska, 68106.
