Maxine Caryll Ashton was born October 23, 1940 in Omaha, NE. She was the 4th daughter of Earle and Marybelle Ashton. She attended Omaha Public Schools and was a member of the class of 1958 at South High School. Maxine's working career was spent at Montgomery Ward and Sears. Her father taught her to be a mechanic and she loved working on cars in her off hours. She was a member of Cross Lutheran Church and Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. She loved reading, watching westerns on TV, sudoku puzzles and latch-hook rugs. Maxine never married. Maxine is survived by her sister, Dixie L Myers of White City, Oregon and many niece's and nephew's. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Peggy D Griffith and Marilyn L Knowlton. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
A memorial service for Maxine will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 5529 Leavenworth St., Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
