Michelle Louis Bertrand (L’Ecuyer), age 74, of Pacific Junction, Iowa, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2023. Michelle was born on February 13, 1949 to Betty and Arcade (Tex) L’Ecuyer in Omaha, Nebraska.
She graduated from South High School and then went on to Wayne State College where she graduated with a teaching degree in 1971. Michelle met Larry that same year, and they were married in 1974. In 1977, they welcomed their daughter, Nicole.
Michelle began teaching in the Glenwood Community School District in 1983 and she retired in 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ed L’Ecuyer. Michelle is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Nicole Winkler (Chris); and grandson, Cody.
A visitation for Shelly will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A memorial service will occur Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A private family burial will occur at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
