Those left to cherish Bob's memory include his loving wife of 68 years, Madelyn Boardman; children, Janice Ristow, Cheryl (Terry) Hawkins, Pamela (Michael) Trapp; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Billie Boardman; sisters, Marcia (Glen) Byers and Kathy (Bob) Sorenson; brother-in-law, DuWayne (Jan) Bussell; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by son, Robert "Bobby" Lee Boardman; parents, Bob and Mabel Boardman; brother, Charles Boardman; sister, Mary Ann Smith; infant grandson, Christopher Ristow; and infant great-grandson, Alexzander Sanders.
A visitation will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska, 68106, on January 18, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home on January 19, 2026, starting at 1:00 pm. Bob will be laid to rest in Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
