Tzy Liang Chang born in Shandong, China. He obtained a degree in Political Science at National Taiwan University. He was the editor-in-chief of the Korean Chinese newspaper and a secretary at the Taiwan Embassy in Korea. In 1978, he and his family immigrated to the United States, where he along with his wife were restaurateurs for over 25 years.
Tzy Liang is survived by his wife of 60 years, Su Hsia Chang (née Tsao); their children, Chia Lin “Lily” Chang; Chia Lan “Julie” Eckersen married to Jon Eckersen, son Joshua Eckersen; Chi Jung “Daniel” Chang; and Tsuey Lan “Amy” Tang married to Con Tang, son Benjamin Tang.
