Corena Lynn Martin liked good beer, good conversation, and the outdoors. She lived her life pursuing these as well as in the service of her family and public.
Corena was a middle school science teacher and the school nurse at Laurens Central School. She volunteered her time as an EMT for the Laurens EMS as well as a nurse at the Oneonta Community Health Center.
But above all, Corena was a devoted mother, a loving wife, and a loyal friend. In her spare time she always kept busy with cherished activities including hiking, kayaking, cross country skiing, crocheting, and gardening.
Not enough can be said about this energetic woman who was taken too soon by a drawn out battle with Catastrophic Antiphospholipid Syndrome, but she will be sorely missed by her community, her two daughters, Noelle and Anna and her husband Jim.
