Delores E. Ferguson

She was born December 5th 1940 the daughter of the late Merlin and Rosina (Bowen) Hoffman. She grew up in Oneonta and attended Oneonta High School. On April 26 1958 in Schenectady, the age of 17 she married the love of her life the late Arthur Ferguson Jr.

They lived for many years on Coe Hill Road where they raised their family. After her husband Art’s untimely passing Delores was eventually left with the decision to leave the mountain to live in Oneonta.

In the evening hours of Monday December 13th Delores left this earth to join her family members in heaven: her husband Art, her two sons Mark Ferguson and Mervin Ferguson. Her parents Merlin and Rosina Hoffman. Her sisters Shirley Darling and Betty Brown and her brother Clarence Hoffman. As well as many other family members that were there to welcome her home.

She is survived by her three sons: Rodney Ferguson (oneonta), Timothy Ferguson and Ginger Houck (Oneonta), and David and Angel Ferguson (Oneonta). One daughter: Brenda and Kevin Roe (EastMeredith). She is also survived by One Brother Raymond and Marcy Hoffman (Florida) Two sister in law Bertha Ferguson (Otego) and Carol Johnson (Richmondville) One Brother-in-law Willis (Billy) Ferguson(Otego).Many grandchildren, great grandchildren,

Nieces, Nephews, cousins,and many day care families she helped take care of until retirement.

Funeral services will be at Bookhout Funeral Home 357 Main Street Oneonta NY on Monday December 20 2021. Calling hours will be from 11:00 -12:00 with service immediately following at 12:00.
