Donald served in the Marine Corps.
He is the son of Earl F. Carr, Jr. of Oneonta and the late Ethel M. Whiting (Johnson), formerly of Oneonta.
He is survived by his son Charles A.D. Hillman of Belfast; sisters, Diane Hasenkamp and husband Clifford of Cooperstown, Debbie Lum and husband Terry of Unadilla and Darlene Kessler and husband John of Laurens; a brother, Roger Carr; a sister, Maria Carr and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Donald loved to travel, fish, listen to music and play BINGO.
Graveside service will be held at the Milford Center Cemetery on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Dr., Oneonta, NY 13820 or to Countryside Care Facility, 41861 State Highway 10, Delhi, NY 13753.
