Elsie M. Karamichael

She was born in Brooklyn on April 18, 1938 the daughter of Arnold and Hildegard Seidler. She married Michael Karamichael in 1965, and he passed away on August 18, 1993.

Elsie has resided in Oneonta for the past five years.

She is survived by her children, Diana Crean and her husband, Bill of Laurens, Michael Karamichael, Jr. of Staten Island, and Kenneth Karamichael and his fiancé, Monica McLaughlin of Somerset, NJ; two step daughters, Alice Bolger of Mamaroneck, and Mary Christine Hasselman of Naples, FL.

She is also survived by six grandchildren, Ryan Crean, Dylan Crean, Robert Hasselman, Jr., Shannon Bolger, Jennifer Cangianni, and Lindsay Bolger; two great grandchildren, Francesca Cangianni and Robert Hasselman III.

She was recently predeceased by a son-in-law, Gerald Bolger.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 12:30 PM in the Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bob Simon Fund at Bassett Cancer Institute, 1 Atwell Road, Cooperstown, NY
