John was born at Fox Hospital, Oneonta NY on May 20,1965 to Bradley and Rosella (Zindle) Osborn. He started school in Charlotte Valley Central school, Davenport, then when the family moved to Oneonta. In 1976 he attended Center Street and Oneonta High schools. He briefly served in the Navy.
John was a cook in many area restaurants. He said the best place to work was The Duke. The people he worked for were very nice and the co workers were a lot of fun.
For the last decade John was self-employed, doing lawn care, upholstery, making tables from live edge wood, and making beautiful violins.
He enjoyed going to antique shows especially Bouckville and Brimfield, family geneology, and going to cemeteries. On his birthday he and Debbie found Harry Wrights grave, something that made John very happy. Last November, John and Debbie were extras in the movie, A Roadhouse Coup., the story of Eva Coo. The day before John passed away they were talking about it to Johns Dr. and nurses. Sadly the movie has not been released yet so John didn't get to see it.
He is survived by his father, Bradley Osborn; sister Brenda (Sam) Tufano; close uncle, Donald Osborn; and cousins Tom and Debbie Anderson, who were more like siblings than cousins. Also, John is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother, Rosella; his brother Christopher, who passed away from cancer in 1983, when he was 15; and his grandparents.
Interment will take place in the family plot in Oneonta Plains cemetery.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.bookhoutfh.com for the Osborn family.
