She was born February 26, 1921 in Oneonta the daughter of the late William H. and Alice L. (Richards) Whitney.
For many years, Katherine worked at the Dress Factory on Dietz Street as a dress maker.
Katherine is survived by her two sons, William S. (Patricia) Moore of Morris and Garry L. Moore of Oneonta; two grandchildren, David Moore and Kristen Moore; 5 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Dora J. Townsend and Elizabeth Murdock.
