Larry B. Johnson passed away on January 25th 2019 at Fox Hospital in Oneonta, NY after a long fought battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born on February 6, 1937 in Franklin, NY to Helen Palmer and Elmer Johnson.
He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after high school and proudly served for six years. Larry worked for Eastern Airlines as a ticket agent and then as a station manager at Syracuse International Airport.
Larry is survived by his children Jacquelyn, Jeffrey (Ginny), Jillayne Burbs (Jimmy), Joseph and Jamie, two sisters Ruth Kinch and Wanda Aikens, one brother Louie and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret (Maggie) Johnson, his brother Robert and his parents.
He was an avid Syracuse fan and enjoyed watching basketball and football games with his sons. He will be greatly missed by his family.
There will be no calling hours as per his request. Burial will be in the spring with a graveside service for family and friends.
