

Bob was born on January 24, 1921 in Johnstown, NY, the son of Lloyd and Alberta (Vincent) Howard. He married Elva “Mickie” Mitchell on March 6, 1944. She predeceased him on December 3, 2014.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corp on September 8, 1942 and served in Belgium and France during WWII. He was employed by the Raymond Corporation and retired after many years as a photographer for Bendix in Sidney. In the early years of their marriage, Bob and Mickie operated a photography studio out of their home in Waterville, NY.
Bob was a long time member of the Mt. Vision Methodist Church, and the Laurens American Legion Post #1688.
He was an avid golfer and played in a league at Colonial Ridge (formerly C.J.’s). An avid musician and member of the musician’s union, Bob played trumpet with several area musicians and was a founding member of the Catskill Stompers.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Holly Deleski and husband, Michael, Joy Rotundo and husband, Sam, Natalie Klindt and husband, Alan, and Pamela Perkins and husband, John.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Angela Deleski, Amy VanCott and husband, Daniel, Jennifer Fanelli and husband, Jack, Anthony Rotundo, Holly Klindt, Tammy Klindt, Johnny Perkins, Brandi Traub and husband, Brandon; his four loving great grandchildren, Elias Brashear, Riley VanCott, Gianna Rotundo and Spencer Traub; a brother, William Howard and wife Joan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta with Rev. Richard D. Howard, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vision Cemetery in the spring.
Friends may call at the funeral home, on Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 11 am to 1 pm at which time the family will be in attendance.
